As a result of the project, the automation and digitalization of OÜ J.Roots Timber’s production will be increased, thereby increasing the company’s added value per employee. As part of the project, the company will acquire planing line automation, a stacking device, a pellet packaging line, and a laser printer.
The goal of the project is to increase production capacity, expand the product portfolio, and streamline production in order to have greater competitiveness in the industry. The company’s goal is balanced development through increasing productivity and developing processes, technology, and personnel.
The new planing line automation allows for faster diagnosis of line-related problems and thus reduces downtime. The stacking device significantly increases the production capacity of stacked products, using nesting functionality. The pellet packaging line allows for efficient dosing, packaging, and storage of produced pellet products. The laser printer expands the company’s ability to mark planed boards according to customer needs and requirements.
As a result of the project, the company’s added value will increase by approximately 12% within two years after the end of the project.

The implementation of the project is necessary to increase the company’s security of supply. Projekti eesmärk on vähendada ettevõtte sõltuvust fossiilkütustest. To achieve the project’s goal, a solar power plant will be built with an electricity storage device, the implementation of which will greatly reduce the amount of electricity produced from fossil fuels consumed from the electricity grid and improve the company’s security of supply.
